WESTPORT — Registration is being accepted for 2025-26 kindergarten classes at Westport public schools.

To be eligible, a child must be 5 years old on or before this Sept. 1, according to school officials,  who in a statement Monday encouraged parents to register their child as soon as possible.

Registration information and the signup form can be found on the school district’s website by clicking here.

Information session: Parents and/or caregivers of children registered to attend kindergarten in the next academic year will be invited to attend a school-based meeting at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7.

The sessions will provide information about kindergarten classes from teachers and other staff members. This event is for parents/caregivers only.

Orientation: In May, parents/caregivers and their child will be invited to an orientation session at the elementary school where the child is scheduled to attend classes. Those uncertain about which of the town’s five elementary schools a child will be assigned should check the district’s school locator tool.
