WESTPORT — Six “Students of the Month” have been selected for May at Staples High School.

They are: senior Rachel Pontoriero, juniors Isabel Alfageme and Isabel Jo, sophomore Damein Potter, and freshmen Dylan Robbin and Sofia Urrea.

Nominated by their teachers, students chosen for the distinction are considered the “glue” that knits together the Staples community, according to Principal Stafford Thomas.

They are “all-around good citizens” of the school, “who help make Staples High School a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” the announcement states.
