WESTPORT — Registration is underway for the 2022-23 before- and afterschool programs for Westport public school students in kindergarten through fifth grade provided in collaboration with the Westport Weston Family YMCA.

The Y’s “School Age Child Care” program offers educational and physical activities, as well as homework assistance. Among those offerings are arts and crafts, STEM and themed projects, outdoor activities and snacks, according to publicity materials.

The program follows the Westport public schools’ calendar, and also takes place on scheduled early dismissals.

Youngsters also can be registered for other YMCA programs that take place during the afterschool care program’s schedule, including swimming lessons, basketball, gymnastics, soccer and dance.
