WESTPORT — Eight Staples High School students have been named November’s “Students of the Month.”

They are: freshmen Max Levy and Maria-Despina Mutescu, sophomores Chanel Wash and Tyler Rockwell, juniors Michael Porzio and Christina Meehan, and seniors Nina Driscoll and Alonzo Darby.

The “Students of the Month” program recognizes “students who help make Staples High School a welcoming place for their peers and teachers alike,” according to the announcement from Principal Stafford Thomas.

The students are nominated by teachers.
