WESTPORT — An “Extra Special Spring Bash,” planned for the enjoyment of teens with disabilities, will be hosted May 23 by the Westport-Weston Family YMCA.

The event, open to youth 12 to 18 years old with physical or neuro-diverse needs and their families, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the Y, 14 Allen Raymond Lane.

The setting, which organizers say will resemble “a spring-themed wonderland,” will feature a DJ spinning music, dancing, games, food, photo booth, gift bags and more.
There also will be a nearby lounge where parents and guardians can relax.
“It’s about creating a space where everyone is seen, celebrated, and supported. A night like this allows our teens to shine,” Haley Behm, the YMCA’s director of marketing and communications, said in a publicity release.
