
WESTPORT — “Healthy Kids Day,” highlighting nutrition, activities and education to help children adopt healthy lifestyles, will take place April 27 at the Westport Weston Family YMCA.
The annual event, part of a national YMCA initiative, gets underway at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Y, 14 Allen Raymond Lane. There is no admission fee; register to attend by clicking here.
Healthy Kids Day will include a range of health and wellness activities for youngsters and their families, focusing on “nutritious eating, physical activity, mental resilience and the development of lifelong healthy habits,” according to an announcement by event organizers.
Features will include classes and presentations on a variety of health-related topics, as well as water safety demonstrations, a bounce house and food trucks offering healthful selections.
