WESTPORT–The Westport-Weston Family YMCA  hosted its 47th Point to Point charity swim this morning. 

First formed in 1979, the one-mile race draws competitors from across New England.

The programming included a live singing of the national anthem, a light breakfast, and an awards ceremony. All of the proceeds from the event directly benefited the YMCA’s swimming programs, funding lifesaving water safety lessons for local families. 

Members of the non-profit myTEAM TRIUMPH also joined and swam the same route.
