WESTPORT – “Drinking with Chickens” is an annual rite of spring at Wakeman Town Farm, which is gearing up to celebrate its third annual event at the farm, 134 Cross Highway.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 21, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with live music by Mark Bridgman and Scott Peterson, of The Tom Petty Project.
The evening also features appetizers by Herbaceous Catering and craft “bwwaacktails” by House of Cocktails. And, of course, there will be special guest appearances by the town farm’s flock of chickens. The event is sponsored by Earth Animal and Westport Family Dental.
National Drinking with Chickens Day was founded in 2019 to celebrate the “farm to table” lifestyle, encouraging people to enjoy garden cocktails or mocktails with backyard chickens. Tickets to this hen party are limited, so “shake a tail feather” to join the fun by registering here.
