WESTPORT AND FAIRFIELD— Motorists should use extreme caution while driving on Sunday, May 17, as the Bloomin’ Metric Bicycle Tour passes through eastern Westport and western Fairfield between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be larger-than-normal number of cyclists on roads throughout town during this time.
The Westport Police Department advises all motorists and pedestrians to use caution, allow extra travel time, and remain alert when sharing the roadway with the bicyclists.
Extra vigilance will help ensure a safe and successful event for everyone involved.
