
WESTPORT — The annual “Bloomin’ Metric” bicycle tour, set for Sunday, May 19, will have a traffic impact on Westport roads, according to a police advisory.
The event, organized by the Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club, is based at Sherwood Island State Park, where each of the tour’s four routes start and finish. For details about the routes, click here.
The biggest traffic impact from Bloomin’ Metric cyclists is expected to be between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, primarily affecting streets on the eastern side of town, police said.
Motorists are advised to expect congestion and to drive with caution.
