Making s’mores around a campfire is one of the activities planned at the Earthplace “Toast to the Trees” on April 27.

WESTPORT — The community is invited to put down roots April 27 for a celebratory “Toast to the Trees” at Earthplace.

The event, planned in conjunction with Arbor Day weekend, will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the nature center, 10 Woodside Lane.

As tree foliage springs to life, the event offers attendees a chance to enjoy Earthplace walking trails, sample craft beer and food truck fare, and engage in family-friendly activities, which include making s’mores over a campfire. The event will take place rain or shine. Indoor activities are planned in case of inclement weather.
