WESTPORT – Harvest Fest, Wakeman Town Farm’s biggest annual fundraising and food event, will take place at 6 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the farm on 134 Cross Highway. Tickets are now on sale at wakemantownfarm.org.
Held on the farm grounds under a tent draped with twinkling lights, Harvest Fest features seasonal fare by local farmers and chefs, live music and more. Wine and signature cocktails will be served.
A live auction will include a variety of culinary and travel experiences, such as private chef dinners at the farm, trips, and a stay at Watch Hill’s Ocean House resort. Proceeds benefit the farm’s new outreach program, Farm on the Go, which provides education to those of all ages, incomes and abilities.
The event will be held cocktail-party style, with tents and multiple food stations–no sit-down dinner–so guests can mix and mingle. Guests are asked to arrive on time, as the main food portion of the evening is from 6-7:30 pm. The evening wraps up with music and dancing from the live band, Morningside.
Space is limited, and, in years past, tickets have sold out quickly.
