WESTPORT — In cooperation with the Westport Animal Shelter Advocates (WASA), the annual Blessing of the Animals took place Sunday afternoon at Saugatuck Congregational Church.

Rev. Alison Patton, pastor, and Rev. Natalie Owens-Pike, ministry intern, spent time with each critter to bring a spiritual blessing.

Representatives of WASA also had some dogs on hand that were looking for new homes.
