WESTPORT — MoCA is known for contemporary art. This fall, the museum also will showcase music.

A slate of four concerts, spanning diverse musical genres, kicks off this week at the museum, 13 Newtown Turnpike.

The performances include:

  • Marielle Kraft, at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8: a pop singer/songwriter whose work is drawing comparisons to Taylor Swift and Alanis Morrissette, according to MoCa. The concert will take place outside, but will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. Buy tickets here.

  • The Figgs, at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15: the rock band has a worldwide fan base, and toured and recorded with Graham Parker. The concert will take place outside, but will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. Buy tickets here.

  • Priscilla Navarro, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20: the pianist is a recent winner of the Heida Hermanns piano competition. The concert will take place indoors and attendees will be required with current COVID health and safety protocols. Buy tickets here.

  • Mark O’Connor Duo, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9: Grammy Award-winners Mark and Maggie O’Connor, violin/fiddle performers, will present a concert of holiday music. The concert will take place indoors and attendees will be required with current COVID health and safety protocols. Buy tickets here.

For indoor concerts, MoCA will require attendees to provide printed proof of a full vaccination, or printed proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to the event, or proof of a negative rapid test within 24 hours prior to entry. 

Acceptable proof of full vaccination includes a CDC vaccination card — physical card, clear photograph or photocopy. Children under the age of 12 may attend the event if proof is provided of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.
