
WESTPORT — “Spin 4 Crohn’s and Colitis,” benefiting research and treatment for the digestive-system diseases, will take place Oct. 22 at Sherwood Island State Park.
The event, organized by the Connecticut chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, is set for 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at the park. Check-in is from 9-10 a.m., with the spin-a-thon on stationary bikes from 10 a.m.-noon. to register, visit the foundation’s “Spin 4” website.
Many participants organize teams of four, and ride relay-style in 30-minute segments, with a collective fundraising goal, according to publicity for the event. But solo participants also are welcome.
