This snowman resembling Nazi leader Adolf Hitler — featuring swastika, “toothbrush” mustache, drooping hair and Sieg Heil salute — was seen Sunday in the Newman-Poses Preserve.

WESTPORT — A snowman fashioned with the distinctively chilling features of Adolf Hitler — complete with swastika, “toothbrush” mustache, drooping hair and Sieg Heil salute — was spotted Sunday amid the snowy terrain of the Newman-Poses Preserve.

It is unknown who built the snowman, or how long it reportedly stood in the preserve.

Actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, who lived near the property, donated a portion of the tract off Bayberry Lane to the town as open space. His neighbor, Lillian Poses, sold the other share of the preserve.

The land is now managed by the Aspetuck Land Trust.
