WESTPORT — The “Pollinator” luncheon, an event designed to promote networking among local nonprofits, will be hosted June 4 by the Bedford Family Social Responsibility Fund of the Westport Weston Family YMCA.

This inaugural program will take place at noon Tuesday, June 4, in the YMCA, 14 Allen Raymond Lane.

Attendance is by invitation only, according to event organizers. For more information or to arrange to attend, contact Kate Guthrie, the YMCA’s development director, at 203-571-6043 or kguthrie@westporty.org.

The gathering “aims to bring together local nonprofits and the fund’s grant recipients for an enriching experience of collaboration and community-building,” according to the YMCA’s announcement.

The Bedford Family Social Responsibility Fund last year awarded $315,000 to 31 community organizations “whose impactful work embodies the spirit of service and enrichment in accordance with the Y’s steadfast commitment to its community in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” the group said at the time of the grants’ presentation in December.

The networking event will include discussion of topics such as digital marketing, volunteer recruitment, grant writing, fundraising, operational efficiencies and strategic planning as they particularly apply to nonprofit organizations.
