WESTPORT — Metro-North Railroad is suspending service as of early morning Sunday due to the imminent arrival of Hurricane Henri.

According to its alert, “The storm is expected to bring heavy rain and hurricane-force winds to parts of New York and Connecticut as early as Sunday morning.”

“The last train from Grand Central will be the 1:53 a.m. to Stamford on Sunday, August 22. The last trains to Grand Central will be the 11:35 p.m. from New Haven on August 21 and 12:58 a.m. from Stamford on August 22.”

Service on the Long Island Railroad will be suspended tonight and will not resume until after the infrastructure has been checked after the storm.
