WESTPORT — Close to $1,200 was raised by the Longshore Ladies 9 Holers Golf Association Thursday through its annual charity event.
“This year, in light of the increased cases of food insecurity, the LLNHGA chose the Westport Woman’s Club Food Closet as the beneficiary of this event,” said Eileen Hart, co-chair.
The Closet works in conjunction with the town’s Human Services Department to provide individuals and families with food and grocery store gift cards for food purchases.

As co-chair (with Kim Reichert) of the Westport Woman’s Club Food Closet, I want to thank the LLNHGA for organizing this super successful food drive for us. Your caring, generous donations are greatly appreciated and we are so pleased that our shelves are now “up to par”!!
