NORWALK — Two Staples High School seniors have the recipe for making the holidays bright for sick children.

Kylie Kirkham and Isla Goldberg this week donated new toys to Norwalk Hospital’s pediatric emergency department, using proceeds from a sale of baked goods.

They are founders of SciMentors, a group bringing together high school students to engage in science and to mentor Westport middle school students for high school.

The donation is being used to ensure that children visiting the hospital’s emergency department during the holiday season receive a toy to help ease an often-stressful experience.
