WESTPORT — Gift cards are being collected to benefit domestic violence survivors by the Westport Domestic Violence Task Force.
Gift cards can be dropped off through Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the dispatch center in the lobby of Police Department headquarters, 50 Jesup Road.
The cards will be provided to residents of two safe houses managed by the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, as well as the agency’s community clients.
Among the gift cards that would be useful for domestic violence survivors to make holiday purchases for themselves and their families are those for Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Amazon, Target and Walmart, according to a statement from the task force. For more information, contact police Lt. Jillian Cabana, co-chairwoman of the Westport Domestic Violence Task Force, by calling 203-341-6000 or email jcabana@westportct.gov.
