Several libraries in the region are hosting book sales in the coming weeks, giving book lovers a chance to find their next great read.

All proceeds from the sales support library programming and events. In addition to the Westport Library’s Big Fall Book Sale, which runs from Dec. 5-8, bibliophiles can enjoy the following events:
- Black Friday Book Sale at Pequot Library (Saturday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Nov. 29): The Pequot Library invites visitors to beat the Black Friday crowds and peruse more than 10,000 items for sale, including “like new” and “gently used” books, CDs, and DVDs as part of their holiday shopping. This event is one of four book sales held each year by the library.
- Holiday Book Sale at the Wilton Library (begins at 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1): This sale includes books in all categories, including vintage books, as well as puzzles, toys, journals, and other gift items. The sale runs through Jan. 4, and all items are half price after Christmas. More information is available here.
- Bag Sale at the Ferguson Library (Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6): Thousands of books, DVDs, and CDs will be on sale at the Harry Bennett Branch of the Ferguson Library in Stamford. Visitors can purchase a large bag for $15 and fill it, or purchase individual items for $1 apiece. More information is available here.
