WESTPORT — Have some fun down on the farm when the 10th annual “Harvest Fest” is hosted Sept. 10 by Wakeman Town Farm.

The event, the farm’s largest fundraiser of the year, will feature farm-fresh seasonal foods, drinks and an auction beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the farm, 134 Cross Highway.

Tickets, which went on sale Tuesday, are expected to sell out quickly, according to organizers. For details and to purchase tickets (which are limited to two per household), click here.

In addition to the live auction set for the night of Harvest Fest, there will be an online auction, which opens Sept. 6. All who buy tickets will be pre-registered for the online action and will be sent an advance look at the inventory up for bids.

The dining portion of the evening will be staged “cocktail-party style,” with tents and food stations, but no sit-down dinner, according to publicity for Harvest Fest.

Afterward, guests will move inside for champagne, dessert and the live auction and paddle raise, which raise funds for the farm.

Following the auction, there will be dancing to music performed by a live band.
