WESTPORT–More than 300 guests gathered at the Fairfield County Hunt Club on Wednesday night for CLASP’s Taste of Westport fundraiser. It was the 20th annual “Taste,” and was, by many measures, the most successful in the fundraiser’s history, according to CLASP President Tracy Flood.

A highlight of the evening was a special presentation by First Selectman Kevin Christie, who presented CLASP with an official proclamation declaring June 3, 2026, as “Taste of Westport Day” in recognition of the event’s 20-year legacy and CLASP’s enduring impact on the community.

For more than four decades, CLASP has provided homes, support services, and enrichment opportunities for adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, CLASP serves more than 85 adults through a network of group homes, supported living apartments, and community-based services throughout Fairfield County, as well as a highly respected day program in Bridgeport that offers educational, vocational, recreational, and enrichment opportunities.

The event featured dozens of food and beverage partners, including

  • Anan Westport
  • Artisan
  • Barcelona
  • Blue Berries
  • The Blondinit
  • Black Bear Wines and Spirits
  • The Boathouse
  • The Bridge
  • Bridgewater Chocolate

The band Blue Skies on Mars played music on the Hunt Club patio.

“This was truly a magical evening,” said Flood. “To see so many people gathered at the Fairfield County Hunt Club enjoying the very best food and drink our community has to offer while supporting CLASP’s mission was incredibly moving. The next morning we confirmed what many suspected—it was the most successful Taste of Westport in our twenty-year history.”

Proceeds from Taste of Westport directly support CLASP’s mission of empowering adults with autism and developmental disabilities to lead meaningful, independent lives while remaining active members of their communities.
