WESTPORT — Halloween movie treats, one cartoonish and the other cultish, bring the season to a close Saturday at the Remarkable Drive-In.

Movie goers are encouraged to come in costumes for both of the very different screenings, according to the Remarkable’s staff.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Remarkable Theater’s goal of opening a non-profit movie theater in downtown Westport that will employ people with disabilities.

Tickets can be purchased at the Remarkable Theater’s website here.

The movie schedule follows:

  • Saturday, 6 p.m.: A cartoon double feature themed for Halloween eve will light up the big screen — the classic Peanuts tale, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” will be paired with “Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest.”

Not only are attendees encouraged to wear their Halloween finery, but “surprises” are in store at this family-friendly event.

Doors open at 5 p.m.

  • Saturday, 8:30 p.m.: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which spawned a cult of audience impersonators of Dr. Frank-n-Furter and its other characters, hits the big screen. The bizarre 1975 musical comedy is rated R.

And, as audiences around the world have done for decades, the Remarkable staff suggests attendees come dressed as their favorite character.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
