WESTPORT — A hearty helping of nostalgia was on the menu for Saturday night’s “Supper & Soul” event, featuring the stomping rhythms of Green River, performing music made famous by late-’60s rockers, Creedence Clearwater Revival.

The concert capped the downtown meals-and-music program co-sponsored by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce and the Westport Library.

Attendees began the evening dining at 11 downtown restaurants, followed by the performance by Green River, which takes its name from one of CCR’s best-known songs.

The “Roots Rock” made famous in the 1960s by CCR had some in the audience on their feet.
