WESTPORT — Applications from area nonprofits are being accepted for 2024-25 community service grants awarded by the Westport Woman’s Club.

The applications, which must be typed, should sent by mail to: Westport Woman’s Club, c/o Community Service Grant Committee, 44 Imperial Ave., Westport, CT 06880. 

Grants are awarded annually to nonprofit “projects that will make a continuing difference in the community,” such as in education, health and safety programs and the arts, according to the club’s announcement.

The grants may be funding or for one-time use of the Westport Woman’s Clubhouse for an event. The money cannot be used for an organization’s payroll, the club said.

More than $400,000 has been awarded by the club since its community service grants program was established in 1999.

The Westport Woman’s Club, founded in 1907, also supports the community through Ruegg Grants, college scholarships, volunteer projects and more.
