WESTPORT — A cherished holiday tradition came to “light” again Friday as Wakeman Town Farm’s Christmas tree was illuminated amid seasonal cheer and song.

The community farm carries on the annual holiday observance of a ceremonial tree lighting begun years ago by the Wakeman family.

Keeping alive that generations-long tradition was Bill Constantino, a Wakeman family member who joined the gathering for the occasion.

Music of the Christmas and Hanukkah season was performed for the crowd by young musicians from several Westport schools, and refreshments were provided by The Porch at Christie’s and Sweet P Bakery.
