WESTPORT — The former Ignazio’s The Pizza on Post Road East appears to have a new owner.

Signs in the windows of the recently shuttered eatery announce, “Under New Management, Coming Soon, Pizza Lyfe.”

The pizzeria at 833 Post Road East was one of two up for sale in Westport in recent months.

The Ignazio owners previously told the Westport Journal that their chain, which began in Brooklyn, wanted to focus on opening a new store in Mystic.

Way back when the building housed the Clam Box, an iconic local eatery, and later a location of Bertucci’s, a Boston-area pizza chain that expanded rapidly and then contracted.

Pizza Lyfe appears to be still in the prep stages, but a website is already live.
