WESTPORT — “Standing Ovation,” a CD of music by Suzanne Sheridan, will be released at the First Folk Sunday concert Oct. 1.

The release party, featuring music written and performed by Sheridan, is set for 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399, 465 Riverside Ave.

Sheridan, a Westport resident, will perform music from the CD at the concert, joined by Bob Cooper on keyboards.

Among the songs on the disc is Sheridan’s county music song, “90 Pound Suburban Housewife Driving in Her SUV,” according to publicity for the event. Musicians accompanying Sheridan on the CD include: Chris Coogan, Beth Styles, Andy Gundell, Ed Thompson, Scarlett Lee Moore, John Lathan, Mary Bond Davis, Leslie Miller, Jeff Gomard, the late Giff Foster and Matt Nozzolio, John Moses, Mike Mills and “Children of the Sun” Drumming Circle, and the Studebakers of Austin, Texas.
