WESTPORT — The springtime music season “Pops” up June 6 when a kaleidoscope of Staples High School musicians and singers perform at the Levitt Pavilion.

The annual Westport Pops Concert, with the theme “An Evening at the Movies” this year, will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, at the pavilion, 40 Jesup Road. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Staples High School auditorium, 70 North Ave.

Concert tickets, available on a first-come, first-served basis, can be reserved starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, by clicking here. There is no fee for the tickets, although a $15 donation is suggested to help offset production costs, according to event organizers.

The concert, hosted by actor James Naughton, will include performances by the Staples Symphonic Orchestra and Band, Jazz Ensemble, Orphenians, Choralaires and other small ensembles. The pavilion’s lawn opens at 6 p.m. for concert goers; attendees should bring their own chairs. Refreshments will be available to purchase from food trucks.
