WESTPORT — A springtime Westport tradition blossoms for a 50th year Saturday when a new season kicks off at the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts.

The year’s inaugural performance will feature singer Samara Joy, a 2023 Grammy Award winner for “Best New Artist” and “Best Jazz Vocal Album,” set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the pavilion, 40 Jesup Road. Doors open at 6:30.

This year’s Levitt season will feature a wide range of performances, many of them free (with tickets).

Among the season’s highlights scheduled so far are:

June 21: Amy Irving, Academy Award-nominated actress, in a musical performance, “Born in a Trunk.”

June 24: Michael Franti and Spearhead, with Phillip Phillips, return for another Levitt “Stars on Tour” event.

July 1: Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers; Hornsby has been known on the music scene since his 1986 Grammy Award-winner, “The Way It Is.”

July 21-22: Twiddle returns for a two-day “festival,” with Kung Fu and Mihali on Friday and Oh He Dead and Lespecial on Saturday.

Aug. 17: Calexico, marking the duo’s “Feast of Wire” 20th anniversary tour.

Aug. 24: Daryl Hall and the Daryl’s House Band, with guest Todd Rundgren, in performance for the Levitt’s annual gala. Hall, known for his longtime collaboration with John Oates, and Rundgren are both Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
