WESTPORT–Theater and mystery fans gathered at The Clubhouse Wednesday night for a one-of-a-kind experience: student readings associated with “Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd,” currently being staged at the Westport Country Theater.
“Agatha Christie’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” was adapted by Mark Shanahan, WCP’s Artistic Director. Local students of Brian J. Carter from The Acting Gym performed a short Agatha Christie-related piece conceived by Mark Shanahan.
Shanahan kicked off the event with some background on the production and a round of Agatha Christie trivia.
John Rapson, who plays Dr. James Sheppard in the playhouse production, performed the opening monologue from the show alongside Caroline Santos Goodall, one of the student players, who read the role of his character’s sister, Caroline Sheppard.
