WESTPORT — A spirited and soulful-sounding ensemble returned to The Unitarian Church in Westport on Saturday night to bring its inspiring tones to a new choral work created by Edward Thompson, minister of music.

“Step Into the Night” was performed by the group to a near-sold out crowd, accompanied by a vibrant quartet of musicians.

“My goodness, it’s good to see you,” Choral Director and Choral Chameleon Founder Vince Peterson told the crowd, expressing the excitement and vitality they felt in getting the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.

“I think it’s very emotional for us,” he said. “For us, this is like a lifeline … It’s a feeling that’s indescribable.”
