WESTPORT — A slate of one-act plays will be performed, at no charge, July 19-20 at the Westport Community Theatre.

The “One Act Play Festival,” staged in collaboration with Eastbound Theatre of Milford, will take place at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 19-20, at the local troupe’s space in Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave. 

There is no admission fee and reservations are not required, according to the announcement.

The performances of one-act, original plays mark the 12th “East/West” collaboration of the two community theater groups.

The plays include:

“Amnesty Week,” by Loretta Bolger Wish, of Manasquan, N.J.: As a library temporarily waives late fees for overdue returns, a woman brings back a book she has held onto for 30 years.

“Children’s Children,” by Kimberly H. Hill, of Fairfield: Two sisters, a lawyer and a will enter an office …

“Dog and Nuts,” by Romney Humphrey, of Seattle, Wash.: Two airline passengers turn to each other as they contend with allergies, pets and turbulence.

“Sense of Direction,” by Seth Freeman, of Pacific Palisades, Calif.: A man meets the voice behind his GPS.

“Three Tries,” by Kelly Burr, of Oxford: A passenger on a cruise helps a fellow traveler navigate unsteady personal waters.
