WESTPORT — Celebrated musicians will get the unique opportunity to perform within the contemporary art galleries at MoCA\CT, with the museum announcing its 2026-2027 season today.

The next season of MoCA\CT Presents, the museum’s flagship concert series, will run from October 2026 through May 2027. Performances will include jazz, classical, R&B, and cross-genre music.

“Experiencing a superlative musical performance surrounded by compelling visual art elevates the event into a rare, multi-sensory phenomenon. The rhythm, texture, and emotional weight of music and art alter how you perceive both—reminding us that outstanding musicians and artists often draw from the same emotional and cultural well,” said Robin Jaffee Frank, Executive Director of MoCA\CT. “This is a bold new chapter for the museum, and we can’t wait to welcome audiences into our galleries for experiences that will linger in their minds long after the final note.”

The full schedule for the 2026-2027 series includes:

  • Morgan James \ Soul Remains Tour (Oct. 3rd, 2026): James has become both a Broadway and internet star, with her performances earning more than 250 views online. Her latest tour draws on the ‘90s soul of Nobody’s Fool and the “horn-fueled rock reinventions” of Soul Remains the Same.
  • Heida Hermanns International Music Competition — Final Round (Nov. 14th, 2026): MoCA\CT’s long-running piano competition will bring three finalists together to perform 45-minute programs in front of a live audience and premiere a newly commissioned work by composer Samuel Adams.
  • Dee Dee Bridgewater & Bill Charlap (Jan. 30th, 2027): These award-winning performers have paired up to create a voice-and-piano powerhouse; their debut duo album Elemental was a 2026 Grammy nominee for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
  • Calidore String Quartet (Feb. 20th, 2027): This group will perform music from their 2026 album American Tapestry and offer a world premiere quartet version of John Williams’ “With Malice Toward None.”
  • Jasper String Quartet (March 13th, 2027): Another quartet visits MoCA\CT to preview its 2026 release Lamenting Earth, a “meditation on humanity and the natural world.”
  • Time for Three (April 29th, 2027): A group that defies traditional convention, this Grammy-winning group is known for “merging classical virtuosity with Americana and singer-songwriter craft.”
  • Kate Kortum (May 8th, 2027): The season closes with this acclaimed jazz singer, who will perform music from her debut album Good Woman and her 2025 release Wild Woman.

MoCA\CT offers a limited number of VIP tickets for each performance, with the exception of the Heida Hermanns International Music Competition. VIP guests include a private hour to view art exhibitions along with complimentary wine, a craft cocktail, and a selection of artisanal hors d’oeuvres, as well as premier concert seating at reserved lamplit bistro tables.

Most concerts begin at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale today and can be purchased at mocact.org.
