WESTPORT — Mandy Patinkin, Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor, singer and storyteller, will perform in concert Sept. 28 at the Westport Country Playhouse.

The performance, “Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Being Alive,” will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the playhouse, 25 Powers Court. To reserve $150 and $175 tickets online for the show, click here.

Patinkin, accompanied by pianist Adam Ben-David, will perform his favorite Broadway and classic American tunes, along with selections from his newest recordings.

In his 1980 Broadway debut, Patinkin won a Tony Award portraying Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita,” and was nominated in 1984 for his role as George in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, “Sunday in the Park with George,” according to playhouse publicity for the concert.

He won a 1995 Emmy Award for his performance in the television series Chicago Hope,” starred in the “Criminal Minds” series and, most recently, appeared in “The Good Fight” series.

Patinkin has acted in a range of movies, including: “The Princess Bride,” “Yentl,” “Ragtime,” “The House on Carroll Street,” “Life Itself,” “Everybody’s Hero,” “Pinero” and “The Adventures of Elmo In Grouchland.”

He also has been an advocate for social causes that include: the Brady Campaign, PAX, Association to Benefit Children, American Jewish World Service, the ACLU and the International Rescue Committee.
