NORWALK – A special ballet performance and a visit from Santa Claus are among the attractions greeting visitors at a special open house this weekend at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.

The Holiday Open House will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14th. The exhibition “Illuminating the Holiday Season at the Mansion” will be on view, giving visitors an opportunity to take family portraits amidst the museum’s holiday displays. The museum’s Pop-Up Cafe will also be open to provide complimentary refreshments.

Santa Claus and a loyal elf will greet children between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Principal dancers from the East Coast Contemporary Ballet will perform a dance featuring excerpts from The Nutcracker and will be joined by advanced students from the Darien Arts Center Dance Academy.

Admission to the Holiday Open House is $5, and proceeds benefit the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum’s educational and cultural programs. For more information, visit lockwoodmathewsmansion.com.
