WESTPORT — A concert of holiday music is planned Dec. 14 at MoCA Westport.

The event, featuring Kristen Young on violin and Joe Bush on piano, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the museum, 19 Newtown Turnpike.

The musical program will blend classical music and holiday selections “in a fresh and exciting contemporary interpretation,” according to a publicity release.

Young, the MoCA director of performing arts, graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a master of music in violin performance and a graduate certificate in arts management and entrepreneurship, and from the University of Delaware with a bachelor of music in music management. She also teaches violin at the Westport School of Music and plays in the American Chamber Orchestra.

Bush graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of fine arts in music, and received a masters in piano performance from Indiana University. He has been the artist in residence at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Newburgh, N.Y., and in 2020 won second place in the National Association of Negro Musicians’ New York regional competition. He also maintains a studio where he teaches more than 50 students.
