RIDGEFIELD — The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum will once again be hosting a course aimed at helping audiences better understand works by today’s artists.

“Getting” Contemporary Art will run on three consecutive Tuesdays, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 15th. The classes will “engage with selected works in the exhibition while developing new approaches to experiencing contemporary art.”

Classes can be taken individually or as a series. Topics include cultural legacies, journeys, identity, and displacement; domesticity, memory, and heirlooms; and “Gorgeous Nothings,” which focuses on the museum’s Decennial exhibition. The course is led by Kristen Erickson, art history teacher and director of the Luchsinger Gallery at Greenwich Academy.

Registration is $55 per class or $120 for the whole series, or $49 per class and $108 for the series for Aldrich members. For more information, click here.
