WESTPORT — Floral paintings by Julie Leff are showcased in the November artist of the month exhibit at the Westport Book Shop.

The paintings are on display during business hours through the end of the month at the downtown store, 23 Jesup Road.

Leff’s work is described in a publicity release as “vibrant, photorealistic oil paintings with a floral motif.”

“I paint for myself — for my love of color and form — but in a way that invites others to discover the beauty I see in the world,” Leff said in the press statement.

She studied art at Yale University and the Silvermine Guild of Artists, and her work has appeared in solo and group shows, most recently at Art/Place in Fairfield. She is a member of the Artists Collective of Westport, WestonArts and Art/Place.
