FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Museum & History Center is once again inviting people to close out their week with a relaxing free concert, as it brings back its free Friday evening jazz concert series.

The Jazz Friday Summer Concert Series kicks off on Friday, July 31st, with Jim Royale’s Caribbean Connection performing on the museum’s common. All concerts run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the series continuing through Aug. 28th.

Performing groups include the Steve Davis Quintet featuring Abena Koomson-Davis on Aug. 7th, Chris Coogan on Aug. 14th, Vinny and Ray Afro-Cuban Jazz on Aug. 21st, and the Paul Bollenback Trio on Aug. 28th.

Guests are invited to bring picnics, blankets, or lawn chairs, but are asked to not set these up before 4 p.m. Concerts may be canceled due to inclement weather, after which the Fairfield Museum & History Center will attempt to reschedule them.
