
WESTPORT — Music made famous by late-’60s rockers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, will set the tone for the next “Supper & Soul” program, co-sponsored May 3 by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce and the Westport Library.
The event features three-course menus at 11 downtown restaurants followed by a performance by “CCR” tribute band, Green River, at the library.
“Supper and Soul” dinner seatings are set at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3, and the concert gets underway at 8 p.m. in the library, 20 Jesup Road.

Participating restaurant include: Arezzo, Basso, Capuli, Casa Me, Don Memo, Emmy Squared, Il Pastaficio, Nômade, Spotted Horse, Gogi and Walrus Alley.
Green River’s 90-minute performance, according to event organizers, will feature a selection of the band’s classic music, as well as band member John Fogerty’s solo hits, including “Bad Moon Rising,” “Proud Mary,” “Up Around the Bend,” “Susie Q” and “The Old Man Down the Road.”
Green River was founded by singer/guitarist Rick Horvath, who started singing CCR songs in his first band when he was 13 years old, according to publicity for the concert.
Other musicians in the band are guitarist Tim Theobald, bassist Dave Figura and drummer Harrison Balthaser.
