NORWALK — Visitors are invited to join in a communal art-making event this week as the Norwalk Art Space hosts The Big Weave-In.
The event will run from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31st. The project will create a shared tapestry that celebrates the local art community. Materials will be provided, but visitors can also bring their own items as well, such as mementos, small objects, broken toys, old clothes, fabrics, and trimmings.
The Big Weave-In is associated with the Norwalk Art Space’s exhibition Threads of Community, which is on view through March 12th. This weekend will also feature an artist talk on the exhibition, running from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1st.
