Police to host child car seat safety clinic

WESTPORT — A child car seat safety clinic will be hosted April 3 by the Police Department.

The event, featuring inspections by a certified child passenger seat technician, will take place form 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Police Department headquarters, 50 Jesup Road.

The clinic is being held to help understands proper steps to install a child’s seat, since nearly three-quarters of them are misused or installed incorrectly, according to a police statement.
