WESTPORT — It’s fall, and that’s what leaves do this season — fall.

To help clear away that fallen foliage, the town will roll out its annual curbside leaf collection program starting Monday, Nov. 4.

Leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags; leaves in plastic bags will not be picked up.

Department of Public Works crews will pick up bagged leaves left at curbside on public roads throughout the leaf-collection period until Dec. 2. There is no schedule for specific pick-up times.

Residents of private streets must place bagged leaves behind the curb of an intersecting town road to be picked up by DPW crews.
