WESTPORT — The Flying Fingers Jug Band is back in the “First Folk Sunday” spotlight with an Oct. 6 concert.

The band, which performed last year for the concert series, will appear at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Saugatuck Rowing Club, 521 Riverside Ave. Tickets can be reserved in advance online by clicking here. Food and an open bar will be available; doors open at noon.

The band, including former Weston resident David Barron on banjo and mandolin, performs “an eclectic mix of musical instruments and implements, including the washboard, string bass, jug, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, kazoo, mouth harp and stove pipe,” according to a publicity release.

Formed by a group of Hudson Valley friends in 2015, the Flying Fingers Jug Band since then has performed music styled on “the jug sound of the Prohibition-era South and “acoustic Americana” at venues around the New York metropolitan area.
