WESTPORT — “Music Through the Decades,” a concert benefiting CLASP’s programs supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is planned Oct. 18 in Fairfield.

The fundraiser for the Westport-based nonprofit will feature music performed by Band Central, showcasing a retrospective of classic music from over the years.

The event, which also includes complimentary refreshments, gets underway with a pre-concert reception at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Fairfield Theatre Company’s Stage One, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield.

Tickets cost $45 if purchased at the FTC box office, $54 online or by calling 203-319-1404.

“It’s such a joy to share this vibrant experience with our residents alongside the talented musicians of Band Central,” Tracy Flood, CLASP president, said in a publicity announcement for the concert. “It feels like a true celebration of CLASP and everything we stand for. The energy and spirit of the event reflect the very essence of our community and mission.”

In keeping with the musical retrospective, event organizers encourage attendees to dress reflecting fashions from their favorite decade.

CLASP offers housing, support services and enrichment opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Fairfield County.
