WESTPORT — A wave of volunteers, organized by the Longshore Sailing School, helped clean up the local shoreline last Saturday.

The cleanup was buoyed by a flotilla of 30 kayaks provided by the school.

Trash, big and small, ranging from golf balls to construction debris, was cleared from the waterfront.

At the end of the morning, prizes were awarded to volunteers who collected the most trash and the largest piece of junk.
