WESTPORT — While a bounty of bad weather is expected to slosh across the region through midday Wednesday, the region should harvest a feast of fine conditions from Thanksgiving Day though the holiday weekend.

Steady rain, driven by gusty winds, buffeted southwestern Connecticut overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday, prompting a “Coastal Flood Advisory” to be issued through 11 a.m. Wednesday by the National Weather Service.

The blustery weather also caused minor power disruptions locally, with 18 outages reported in Westport as of 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to Eversource.

Rain is expected to keep falling through most of Wednesday morning, with skies gradually clearing in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be warmer than the last few days, with a high in the upper-50s, according to the NWS.

On Thursday, the Thanksgiving Day skies are expected to be sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-50s.

The region’s skies should remain party sunny for the remainder of the holiday weekend through Sunday, but daytime high temperatures will decline.

On Saturday, in particular, the high temperature is expected to register only at 40 degrees or so, before slowly rising again to the low-50s on Monday, the weather service predicts.

Service disruptions can be reported online at Eversource.com or by calling 800-286-2000. Customers who signed up for the power company’s two-way texting feature can send a text to report an outage and receive outage updates as they happen.
